This website is a home for spiritual descendents of the followers of the Way. After the Lord, Yehoshua ha'Mashiach, ascended into heaven in 33 AD, our ancestors were known as followers of the Way. About 15 years later, in Antioch, they began to be called Christians (Acts 11:26). The word "called" comes from the Greek word "chrematizo," which means "divinely intimated." Christian means "follower of the Christ," but the world has come to think that Christian means "one who believes Joshua is the Christ." To be a follower of the Christ, one must actually know the Christ spiritually. Christians hear his voice, he knows them, and they follow him (John 10:27). Because of Satan, they need to confirm the voice they hear. They confirm it through prayerful study of sacred scripture, through prayerful study of sacred traditions (those given to the first bishops by the apostles), and through dialogue with their brothers and sisters in Christ, especially those with the most knowledge and wisdom.

Since the world thinks, and sometimes argues, that Christian means merely "one who believes Joshua is the Christ," a new name is needed for followers of the Christ. The best name appears to be "Joshuan." It means "follower of Joshua." If we put the "-ian" or "-an" suffix after a name, rather than a title, then it makes it more clear that we're describing a follower of the person with that name. Joshua is the English transliteration of the Christ's Hebrew name, "Yehoshua." The most accurate pronunciation is achieved by making the "J" in Joshua a "zh" sound.

We do not say that we "are Joshuans" or that we "are Christians," but that we "are called Joshuans" or that we "are called Christians." This makes it easy for our brothers and sisters in Christ to test our spirits (1John 4:1). It's easier to test the spirit of a person who says "I am called a Christian" than one who says "I am a Christian." That's because there is no danger of being required to say to that person "you are a liar." If that person fails the test, then the only thing that would be required is to say to that person "the one who called you a Christian is a liar." That is easier to say. Therefore, the spirit of that person is easier to test.

As far as church affiliation is concerned, we are Misfits. Misfits are those who fit into neither Catholicism nor Protestantism. We believe, as Catholics do, that there is a chair of Peter. Acts 15, verse 7, makes that clear. However, we believe, as Catholics don't, that it has always been possible for the vicar of Peter to promulgate nondestructive untruths. More information on Misfits can be found on YouTube. Our catechesis was written around 90 AD. It's called "The Teachings of the Twelve Apostles to the Gentiles," or "The Didache" for short (Didache is Greek for "teachings"). The Didache describes the two ways spoken of by Joshua in his sermon on the mount (Mat 7:13-14). It also contains the specific commandment: "thou shalt not murder a child in abortion."

If we study sacred scripture, we can find that unnecessary abortion is, in fact, murder (Gen 25:22, Psa 139:13, Luk 1:44). But this essential truth is spelled out more clearly in The Didache. For many centuries, The Didache was a lost book. But in the 19th century it was found again. This was timely, because unnecessary abortion resurfaced in the 20th century. Before the 20th century, it hadn't been done to a large extent since the Roman Empire. We believe that unnecessary abortion is the world's greatest evil, not only because it's the shedding of innocent blood, but also because it's the shedding of blood of souls before they have had an opportunity to hear the word of the gospel.
